Bhubaneswar – Puri – Konark – Chilika Lake – Gopalpur – Tara Tarini – Taptapani – Bhubaneswar
A 9-day journey through Odisha’s temple heritage and coastline: the ancient temples of Bhubaneswar, the sacred city of Puri, the Sun Temple at Konark, boat rides on Chilika Lake, the beach town of Gopalpur and the hills of Taptapani, with craft villages along the way.

Detailed itinerary
D1
Day 1 · BhubaneswarArrival at Bhubaneswar Airport – Bhubaneswar
Arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport for pickup and hotel check-in, then visit:
- Lingaraj Temple
- Mukteshwar Temple
- Rajarani Temple
- Parasurameswar Temple
In the evening, visit the local market / Ekamra Haat.
Overnight: Bhubaneswar
Note: Nandankanan Zoological Park can be added on another day if you want the zoo included.

Day 2 · Bhubaneswar – PuriBhubaneswar Sightseeing – Puri
After breakfast, visit:
- Udayagiri & Khandagiri Caves
- Dhauli Shanti Stupa
- Pipili Appliqué Village
Continue towards Puri and check in at the hotel. Evening at Puri Beach and the beach market / local shopping.
Overnight: Puri

Day 3 · PuriPuri Local Sightseeing
Early morning:
- Jagannath Temple — Darshan
- Gundicha Temple
- Narendra Tank
- Lokanath Temple
Overnight: Puri
Note: Temple entry restrictions should be kept in mind for non-Hindu visitors.

Day 4 · Puri – Konark – PuriPuri – Konark – Marine Drive – Puri
After breakfast, proceed along the scenic Marine Drive route:
- Ramachandi Temple
- Ramachandi Beach
- Marine Drive coastal road
- Chandrabhaga Beach
- Sun Temple, Konarak
- Konark Temple Museum, if time permits
Return to Puri via Marine Drive.
Major highlight: Konark Sun Temple · Overnight: Puri

Day 5 · Puri – Chilika – PuriPuri – Satapada, Chilika Lake – Puri
After breakfast, drive to Satapada for:
- Chilika Lake
- Boat ride on Chilika Lake
- Dolphin-spotting area
- Chilika sea mouth
- Rajhans Island, subject to boat / weather conditions
Lunch at Satapada, then return to Puri. Evening free at Puri Beach.
Major highlight: Chilika Lake boat ride · Overnight: Puri
Note: Satapada is known for boat excursions and Irrawaddy dolphin sightings.

Day 6 · Puri – GopalpurPuri – Gopalpur via Chilika / Coastal Route
After breakfast, depart Puri:
- Scenic coastal drive
- Chilika surroundings
- Continue towards Gopalpur
Check in at the beach hotel. Relax at Gopalpur Beach with sunset / leisure time.
Overnight: Gopalpur

Day 7 · GopalpurGopalpur – Tara Tarini – Taptapani – Gopalpur
After breakfast:
- Visit Tara Tarini Temple
- Continue to Taptapani
- Visit the natural hot spring area
- Enjoy the surrounding hills and countryside
Return to Gopalpur. Evening free at the beach.
Overnight: Gopalpur

Day 8 · Gopalpur – BhubaneswarGopalpur – Bhubaneswar
After breakfast, check out and drive back towards Bhubaneswar, with en-route sightseeing depending on time. Optional visits:
- Raghurajpur Heritage Crafts Village
- Dhauli
- Local shopping
Overnight: Bhubaneswar
Note: Raghurajpur is particularly useful if you want to experience Odisha’s traditional Pattachitra and handicraft culture.

Day 9 · BhubaneswarDeparture
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bhubaneswar Airport for your onward journey.
