Dehradun/Rishikesh – Manali – Jispa – Sarchu – Leh – Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake – Leh – Kargil – Sonamarg – Srinagar
A true Himalayan motorcycle expedition. Ride out from Dehradun or Rishikesh to Manali, then take the legendary high road over Baralacha La, the Gata Loops and Tanglang La to Leh. After a day to acclimatise, ride over Khardung La to Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake, then return through Kargil, Drass and Zoji La to the green Kashmir Valley, ending in Srinagar.
Begin your Himalayan motorcycle expedition from Dehradun or Rishikesh and ride towards Manali, enjoying the scenic mountain roads, river valleys and landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.
On arrival in Manali, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, meet the riding team, collect your motorcycle and attend a detailed safety and route briefing. Overnight stay in Manali.
After breakfast, begin your first major Himalayan riding day. Ride through the Atal Tunnel, Sissu and Keylong before continuing to Jispa. The landscape changes gradually from green mountain valleys to the dramatic high-altitude desert of Lahaul, with spectacular views of snow-covered mountains and the Bhaga River. Overnight stay in Jispa.
After breakfast, ride towards Sarchu through Darcha, Zingzing Bar and Baralacha La Pass. Stop at the beautiful Suraj Tal, one of the highest lakes in India, and continue through remote Himalayan landscape to Sarchu. Overnight stay in Sarchu.
One of the most exciting and challenging riding days of the expedition. Ride through the famous Gata Loops, Nakee La, Lachung La and More Plains before crossing Tanglang La Pass. Continue through Upshi and finally arrive in Leh. Check in at your hotel and take complete rest after the long ride. Overnight stay in Leh.
Today is reserved for acclimatising to the high altitude. After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed sightseeing tour of Leh, visiting Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace and Leh Market. Spend the evening exploring the local market and the unique culture of Ladakh. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, ride towards Nubra Valley and cross the legendary Khardung La, one of the most famous mountain passes associated with Ladakh motorcycle expeditions. Continue to Diskit and Hunder, where you can enjoy the spectacular desert landscape surrounded by mountains, and a ride on the famous double-humped Bactrian camels. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
After breakfast, ride towards the magnificent Pangong Lake through the scenic Shyok Valley, continuing through Durbuk and Tangtse. Spend the evening beside the blue waters of the lake and enjoy the dramatic Himalayan scenery. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.
Wake up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise at Pangong Lake. After breakfast, begin the return to Leh over Chang La Pass and through the Changthang landscape. Spend the evening relaxing at the hotel or exploring Leh Market. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, ride towards Kargil, stopping at some of Ladakh’s famous attractions along the way — Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Lamayuru Monastery, Moonland and Mulbekh — before continuing through spectacular mountain terrain to Kargil. Overnight stay in Kargil.
After breakfast, ride towards Sonamarg through Drass, one of the coldest inhabited places in the world. Visit the Kargil War Memorial before continuing to Zoji La Pass, then descend towards the lush Kashmir Valley and reach Sonamarg. Overnight stay in Sonamarg.
After breakfast, enjoy a beautiful ride through the Kashmir Valley to Srinagar and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing around Dal Lake, the Mughal Gardens and Srinagar’s local markets. A relaxing Shikara ride on Dal Lake can also be arranged. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Your Himalayan Bullet Adventure officially concludes in Srinagar, with memories of high mountain passes, remote valleys, monasteries, lakes and some of the most spectacular motorcycle roads in the Himalayas.
